Platelet-rich plasma

( number of products: 1 )

Platelet-rich plasma is a term that is gaining popularity for a reason! Not only experts are talking about it, but everyone interested in the topic of skin rejuvenation. But what is PRP anyway, what other properties does it have, and what can it be used for?

What is platelet-rich plasma and how is it made?

Platelet-rich plasma, abbreviated as PRP, is a procedure for which concentrated platelets of the patient's blood are used, first performing centrifugation and separation. At the first stage, small amounts of blood are drawn (exactly as during a routine checkup). Later, the blood is placed in a centrifuge and a gradual separation of its components takes place. In the end, three layers are formed:

  • red blood cells,
  • platelet-rich plasma,
  • the so-called buffer, which contains white blood cells, and platelets.

Plasma subjected to centrifugation and separation contains many more platelets than regular blood. It is estimated that there are more than 60 different types of active substances in the concentrated platelets, which are capable of stimulating regenerative processes, tissue repair or blood vessel remodeling. All this makes platelet-rich plasma very widely used in rejuvenation, orthopedic, dermatological or surgical therapies.

Platelet-rich plasma in aesthetic medicine - plenty of possibilities

Platelet-rich plasma is used in treatments aimed at improving skin firmness, smoothing scars and wrinkles, accelerating wound healing or reducing cellulite. It can also be a great support when the treatment of excessive hair loss is already implemented, complementing the effect of mesotherapy ampoules for the scalp. The so-called vampire lift - a variation of the classic lift using platelet-rich plasma - is very popular. In the offer of Cosmetix wholesaler you will find professional test tubes, thanks to which you will efficiently collect the patient's blood before the centrifugation and separation process.

How is the vampire lift performed?

  • Once the plasma is prepared, it can be activated in the laboratory beforehand so that the growth factors are released.
  • The vampire lift is most often performed under local anesthesia - about half an hour before the procedure, a special anesthetic cream is applied to the treated areas of the skin.
  • After the plasma is injected into the syringe, even puncturing and injecting of the skin areas that need regeneration is carried out.
  • Growth factors in the platelets begin to stimulate the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin, stimulating tissue repair, increasing skin density and improving the overall appearance of the skin.

Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a natural and safe, yet innovative method that takes advantage of the body's regenerative abilities. As a result, the risk of complications or allergic reactions is minimized, and the first effects can be enjoyed just a few weeks after the procedure.
